As a medicine Kudzu has been used for over 1,000 years in the Chinese culture. The medicinal ingredient is daidzin and it is touted as a medicine that can reduce drinking and prevent future relapses of alcoholism. Now a synthetic version of Kudzu has been developed. Because alcoholism is a medical disorder medicine is effective in its treatment.
