Depressed Pregnant Women More Likely To Get Diabetes

Pregnant women who suffer from depression are though considerably more likely to suffer from a form of pregnancy related diabetes. The complications of this can be severe, including congenital abnormalities, excessive head size or fetal weight and even more serious birth defects. It is thought that while suffering depression makes pregnancy related diabetes more likely to occur, suffering from type 1 or type 2 diabetes can also lead to depression during and post pregnancy.
